Italian success in the first Longines Ranking class of the Adriatic Tour: Giacomo and Cape Cod were the fastest of 53 combinations on the grass arena at Le Siepi, clear in 62.57 seconds.
On the grass field of Le Siepi equestrian centre in Cervia, 53 riders took on the 1.50m against the clock, a Longines Ranking class with €28,500 in prize money. Only 11 jumped clear, and Giacomo Bassi with Cape Cod stopped the clock in 62.57 seconds, almost two seconds faster than runner-up Roberto Turchetto on Bubalou (64.51). Argentina's Matias Larocca completed the podium with Con Corrado 4. Another important result for the pair after the 3rd place in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Bedizzole in June and the 3rd place in the CSI2* Grand Prix of San Giovanni in Marignano the previous weekend.
